Lily Mae Myers, 91, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023, at her home in Great Falls, Montana.

Lily Mae was born September 9, 1932, in Havre, Montana to Alfred and Pearl (Slater) Jackson. She joined her eldest sibling Walter and was later joined by Alfred Jr. "Bill" and Howard "Howdy". She was raised south of Gildford and in Loma. Fort Benton is where she graduated Highschool and met her other half.

Lily Mae and Walter Myers met at freshmen orientation, and became inseparable immediately. "We were instantly drawn to one another. We couldn't stand to be apart" is how she described falling in love with Walter. She was also not one to shy away from hard work. She was happy when her family moved to Loma because she could work to earn money. While in Loma, she worked at one of the two service stations owned by her father and stayed busy babysitting as well. After graduating high school, Lily Mae received $100 from her dad Alfred, for choosing not to drink or smoke throughout high school. She and Walter used the $100 to pay for the Justice of the Peace at their wedding on October 17, 1950 in Great Falls, MT. After getting married, they moved around the state while Walter worked in Great Falls, Gildford and Elliston. Eventually settling in Hingham in 1959. By 1967, Walter built a beautiful home to go along with the beautiful life they were creating in Hingham. The couple lived and worked on the farm until Walter retired in 1997.

Lily Mae loved to travel. She and Walter took many trips in their motorhomes. Those trips were filled with many fond memories with their loved ones and friends.

They eventually settled in El Mirage, Arizona in their park model where they spent many years golfing and enjoying friends and seeing the sites in the area.

Lily Mae was an avid golfer, and she refused to use a golf cart while playing. Her grandchildren would speak of the hard time they had keeping up with her. She would often walk the entire course saying it was her exercise.

Lily Mae quilted, sewed, and knitted, always gifting her creations of blankets, sweaters, mittens, and hats. She had an adventurous spirit and hardly ever sat on the sidelines watching life happen. She enjoyed gathering community members and friends together to try new things. She had a morning swim club at the Hingham pool. She served as a 4-H leader, worked at the Hingham store, and she and Walt participated in couple's bowling league with Sharon and Bill Spicher. She was a friendly, compassionate, woman who genuinely cared about people.

She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Pearl, three brothers; Walter, Alfred Jr. "Bill", and Howard "Howdy" Jackson; her husband Walter Myers in June of 2022 and grandson Casey Vosen in October of 2022.

Lily Mae is survived by her three children: Chuck (Barb), Don (Verna) and Virginia Myers. Grandchildren; Carmin (Joel) Sather with their children Gavin and Riley; Kari (Matt) Montgomery with their children Cooper and Lilly; Jason (Jessica) Myers with their children Madelyn, Brooke, and Walter; Mandi (Dan) Rose with their children Aidan, Gabrielle, Liam and Kira (Lane) Luscher; Holly (Chad) Pickering with their children Kenzy, Cason and Cache; Scott (Abbie) Myers with their children Alexander and Oliver; Kelly(Breanna)Vosen with their children Brody and Brighton: Chad (Brandi) Myers with their children Champ George and Mox Myers.
