Leslie P. "Les" Parisian, 55, passed away after a long fight with a brain tumor at the Northern Montana Care Center on Tuesday, December 10, 2019. Wake services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2019. Les will be moved to the Box Elder School Gymnasium for his Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2019, and will be returned to St. Anthony's after the Rosary. Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 13, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Box Elder. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Les was born on Father's Day, June 21, 1964, in Havre to Leonard Parisian and Leoda Sangrey. He was raised in Box Elder, attending school there, and graduated from Box Elder High School in 1982. Les met Mona Ameline, and she quickly became the love of his life. Together they had five children. He worked at the Box Elder Schools as a teacher's aide, and then as the In School Suspension Disciplinarian until his illness forced his retirement. Les was dedicated to his job and became a role model for many students and faculty alike; and his students and co-workers truly loved him.
He was a dedicated and avid Dallas Cowboys fan, and loved watching football with his close friend and brother, Dennis Gardipee. When not cheering on the Cowboys, Les could be found at the Northern Winz Casino playing the slots or Keno. He also enjoyed a good round of golf with his friends and family. Les touched many lives and will be missed by all. His grandchildren were the joy and sunshine of his life.
He was preceded in death by his aunt and adopted mother, Helen Wells Henry, and sister Lisa, who was very close to his children.
Les is survived by his loving wife and soulmate, Mona Parisian of Box Elder; children, Dani Jo, Shy'll, Kendell, Kallen, Leslie, Marylou, Jayd'll, all of Box Elder; grandchildren, Wade Jr., Levi Jayde, Tommy, Kyzen, Aubriana, and two-week old Kylen; mother, Leoda (Ken) Oliver of Elko, NV; father, Leonard Parisian; sister, Cindy Winchell of Great Falls; adopted sister, Donna "Sis" Raining Bird of Box Elder; brothers Dennis Gardipee, Allen Parisian, and Pete Azure, all of Box Elder; together with a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
