Leonard T. Small, 56, passed away due to natural causes at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula on Wednesday, November 24, 2021.  Wake services will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 28, 2021, and will continue until his funeral service which will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 29, 2021, all at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.  Burial will follow in the Rocky Boy Cemetery.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Leonard was born on April 3, 1965, in Havre to Richard and Eliza (Weasel Boy) Small.  He was raised in Rocky Boy, attending school there.  Following high school graduation, Leonard began working.  He worked for several different places before beginning his work as a heavy equipment operator, working in the water and sewer field.  He married Mary Jane Small, and they and their family lived in Rocky Boy until his death.  In his spare time, Leonard enjoyed drawing, playing the machines, and visiting with friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Small; brothers, Kelly and Richard Small, Jr.; and uncle, Alex Weaselboy.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Small; children, Shelby (Emmett), Courtney (Justin), and Samantha (Josh); goddaughter, Erin Buffalo; grandchildren, Aiden Taylor, Amari Standing Rock, Amelia and Alex Murphy, and Auzzy and Tommi Windy Boy; mother, Eliza Small; sisters, Nadine and Cynthia; brothers, Harlan, Nolan, Nathan, and Marcus; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
