Laurna Rae Chief Goes Out, "Eagle Woman" (Ki-hiw Iskwew), 34, passed away due to natural causes in Great Falls on Friday, February 3, 2023. Wake services will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2023, and will continue until her funeral service, which will be at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, all at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the Rocky Boy Cemetery. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Laurna was born on April 18, 1988, in Havre to Lawrence Russette and Anna Chief Goes Out. She was raised in Pablo, Rocky Boy, and Wyoming, and graduated from Box Elder High School in 2006. Laurna attended the University of Montana for a short time, majoring in culinary arts, and spent the next several years working various jobs.
Laurna loved to cook and draw. When you would initially meet her, she was reserved, but once you got to know her, she would become outgoing. Laurna had a great sense of humor, and spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews, was very important to her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Addison, and father, Lawrence Russette.
Laurna is survived by her significant other, Joe Stump; adopted daughter, Jayden Chief Goes Out; mother, Anna Chief Goes Out; and numerous brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, adopted family, Denny family, and other extended family and friends.
