Larry J. Piapot, 69, passed away due to natural causes at the Northern Montana Care Center on Wednesday, November 4, 2020.  Wake services will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2020, and will continue until Larry's funeral service, which will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 6, 2020, all at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.  Please visit Larry's online memorial page and leave a message of condolence for his family at www.hollandbonine.com .

Larry was born on July 29, 1951, in Fort Belknap to John and Bessie (Raining Bird) Piapot.  He was raised in Rocky Boy, attending school in Rocky Boy, Great Falls, and Havre.  Following his school years, Larry worked as a laborer in construction for a few years. However, as a teenager, mechanics interested him, and he returned to that, working as a mechanic for the rest of his life.

Larry was a fun man who enjoyed fishing, yardwork, trapping, and traveling.  He loved to listen to old rock & roll and old country music and play cards.  He was known in the family for his joking around.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Bessie Piapot, and siblings, Algie Piapot, Carmie Jean Chandler, and Elaine Lee Chandler.

Larry is survived by his children, Larette (Victor) Cuara of Salt Lake City, UT, Terrence (Crystal) Piapot of Rocky Boy, Terilarae (Clayton Malatare) Piapot of Ronan, Shannon Piapot of AZ, Brian Piapot of ID, Cheryl Piapot of Great Falls, and Lawrence Piapot of Missoula; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Barbara (Joe) Dubois of Box Elder, Kenneth Lee Piapot and Selena Valdez, both of Havre, and Russell (Teresa) Piapot of Rocky Boy; and numerous aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
