Obituary

Kristy L. Naber, 75, passed away due to natural causes at Sweet Memorial Nursing Home on Sunday, February 15, 2026, with her family by her side.  A viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., and funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m., all on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Holand & Bonine Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Cemetery.  Kristy's family has suggested memorial donations be made in her memory to the North Central Senior Center or the charity of the donor's choice.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements.

Kristy was born on April 29, 1950, in Havre to Orville "Swede" and Leta (Hansen) Welsh.  She was raised on the family farm north of Gildford with her brother Robert, attending school in Gildford.  After high school, Kristy attended Billings Business College and then returned home.  She met Don Naber while he was home on leave from the military, and the couple married on November 8, 1970, making their home in Havre.  Kristy worked as a legal secretary for a couple of years until their two children made their appearance, and then she became a homemaker while her husband Don worked for the Post Office.

She adored her family, and spending time with her children and grandchildren was her favorite activity.  She also provided childcare for some of the neighbors and provided care for her mother as her health declined.  Kristy enjoyed birdwatching, dinosaur digs, crossword puzzles, and caring for her flowers, especially roses and tulips.  She and Don spent many hours camping together; and she also loved to help her mother out on the farm, especially during harvest.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Swede and Leta Welsh, and her brother, Robert Welsh.

Kristy is survived by her husband of 55 years, Don Naber of Havre; children, Chad Naber of Gildford and Bobbie Jo (Dave Armstrong) Naber of Havre; grandchildren, Brittany (Nick) Moles, and Corttney and Trinnity Gobin; great-granddaughter, Maidson Moles; and many friends.
