Kenneth Kampf, 73, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015, at his residence of natural causes. Cremation has taken place, and memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2015, at Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel. He was raised in Havre, attending school there. In 1958, he enlisted in the US Navy, and served until his honorable discharge in 1963, when he returned to Havre. Kenneth married DeeAnn Bulman in 1970, and the couple's union was blessed with two children. They divorced in 1979. Kenneth worked for 30 years for the Havre Public Schools as a custodian, and bartended at the VFW for many years, as well, retiring several years ago. While he was in the Navy, Ken began boxing, and carried his love for the sport into his civilian life. He and a friend Harry Atchison coached boxing together, and Ken was also a judge and referee. He was proud of having served as a judge for Todd "The Kid" Foster. Ken enjoyed socializing with his friends and helping out at the VFW and the Eagles Clubs; fishing with his son, younger brothers, father, and step-father; and watching game shows, police dramas, some westerns, and most war movies. When he was younger, he liked to hunt. Ken was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Grace Kampf, and Thelma and Ray Crawford; his son John Franklin Kampf; and his sister Judy. He is survived by his daughter Michele (Luke) Weiss of Sidney; his son Jeff Kampf of Mesa, AZ; his four grandchildren; his sister Linda (Dale) Sterner of Havre; his brothers Bobby, Don "Duck", and Larry (Alice) Kampf, all of Great Falls, and Sammy (Echo) Kampf of Winnemucca, NV; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
