Kah-mi-che-to-Kah-mi-ko-k (Many Sacred Lodges) was born on November 27, 1973, in Havre to Leon "Tex" and Pamela (Eagleman) Stiffarm. She was raised mostly in Rocky Boy, attending school there, however she spent a couple of years in Denver, CO. Following her high school graduation, Kokom enlisted in the US Army Reserves, and served until her honorable discharge. She returned home and had a son whom she cared for well. For the most part, she lived in Rocky Boy, moving to Havre in 2012, and then to Great Falls in 2020 with her significant other, Emery Bacon.
Kokom enjoyed listening to The Temptations and Al Green, and all of the old Motown favorites. For many years, Karen cared for her mother Pam Stiffarm and her grandmother Mary Jane Eagleman Denny. She worked various jobs on the Rocky Boys' Reservation, and attended Stone College. She loved spending time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all of her young relatives.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Pamela Stiffarm, and her grandparents, Paul and Mary Jane Eagleman and Jim and Beatrice Stiffarm.
Kokom is survived by her son, Austin Morsette of Rocky Boy; two granddaughters, Brodie and Josephine; siblings, Nicole Stiffarm of Polson and Jennifer LaCounte of Pablo; father, Tex Stiffarm of Portland, OR; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family, Army buddies, and friends.
