June Stremcha, 93, of Havre, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2013, at her residence of natural causes. Rosary services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church with Father Daniel Wathen officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. The family has requested that memorials be made in June's name to St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic School or the charity of the donor's choice. June was born on November 20, 1919, in Harlem, Montana, to Edward and Mary (Gardner) Miller. She was raised north of Hogland on the family's dry land farm. June attended school in Hogland, graduating from high school there in 1938. Following her high school graduation, she moved to Havre, and attended Northern Montana College on a full scholarship, graduating with an Associate Degree in Business with a 4.0 GPA. While in college, she lived at the Castle and roomed with her sister Grace, as well. In 1942, June married William Stremcha in Fort Benton in a double wedding with Lil and Tony Malsam, and the couple's union was blessed with two sons. She worked for Hauge, Hauge, Ober and Spangelo Law Office for over 20 years, retiring in 1978. Following their retirement, June and William traveled throughout Montana and into Arizona. June was a reserved woman who enjoyed camping, fishing, crocheting, and visiting with her family. June was preceded in death by her son Jim Stremcha; her parents Edward and Mary Miller; her sister Grace Williams; and her brothers Ronald and Mike Miller. She is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years, William Stremcha, of Havre; her son Alvin (Valeri) Stremcha of Havre; her daughter-in-law Dorothy Stremcha of Havre; seven grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
