Jonathan Owen Johnson, 39, passed away at his home on Friday, August 13, 2021.  Wake services will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2021, and will continue until his funeral service, which will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 16, 2021, all at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.  Burial will follow in the Rocky Boy Cemetery.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.  Please visit Jon's online memorial page and leave a message of condolence for his family at www.hollandbonine.com .

Jon was born on July 11, 1982, in Havre to Dale Chiefsky and Elizabeth Yellowtail.  He was raised in Rocky Boy, attending school there.  Following his school years, Jon moved to Havre for a few years, where his son was born, and then to Billings.  In 2007, he moved to Arlee and began a relationship with Marcie Stevens.  There, he found his chosen family and new home, and the couple remained together until his death.  He returned to Rocky Boy in 2020.  For about seven years, Jon worked as a casino attendant and bartender at the Gray Wolf Casino.

Jon was an exuberant man, whose personality was larger than life.   He was infamous for cracking jokes and bringing smiles and laughter to all he encountered.  His passion was fishing, and he enjoyed camping, floating, online gaming, socializing, spending time with family and friends, and his love of food was well-known to anyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jon and Marion (Small) Johnson; maternal grandparents, Frank Yellowtail and Florence Cappo; uncles, Enos and Alvin Johnson; and several nephews.

Jon is survived by his wife, Marcie Stevens of Arlee; son, Taylor Johnson of Billings; parents, Dale Chiefsky and Elizabeth Yellowtail of Rocky Boy; sisters, Lonna (Jason Huntley) Johnson and Kristi (Bryan Stewart) Johnson, all of Rocky Boy; brothers, Dale  (Sharlie Pat) Jonson of Havre, and Colbert and Joe (Kayla Franks) Johnson, all of Rocky Boy; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and friends from the US and Canada.
