Obituary

Jolynn "Jodi" Cole, 54, passed away due to natural causes on Sunday, March 4, 2018, at Northern Montana Hospital.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2018, and burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.

Jodi was born on July 19, 1963, in St. Ignatius to Joseph and Victoria (Lozeau) Finley, and she was adopted at an early age by Ava and Austin Green, whom she adored.  She was raised with her three adoptive siblings, Nina, Nila, and David, graduating from Stevensville High School.  She attended business college in Seattle, and Montana State University – Northern.  Jodi married Paul Cole in 1999, and the couple made their home in Havre.

Jodi was a loving woman who cared more about other people than herself.  She was a faithful member of Van Orsdel United Methodist Church, where she did her best to encourage everyone, and had recently begun a fundraiser for her beloved Great Northern Fairgrounds.  She was an avid reader, enjoyed FaceBook and computer games and listening to music, and loved to shop at yard sales, where she demonstrated her ability to stretch a dollar.  She loved to look for gifts to give to her children and grandchildren, and she was thrilled when she found just the "right" thing.  Jodi never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with just about anyone.

She was preceded in death by her adoptive parents, Ava and Austin Green; birth parents, Joseph and Victoria Finley; brothers David Green and Carl Finley; sister Venita Finley; and parents-in-law, Bill and Dorothy Cole.

Jodi is survived by her husband, Paul Cole, of Havre; her children, Danielle Green, Mary Green, Jeremiah Green, Jonathon Green, Matthew Cole, Michael Cole, and Robby Cole; her four grandchildren; her brother Joe Steiner; her sisters Nina Savik, Nila Lauder, and Aggie Incashola; her sisters-in-law, Blanche (Pat) Kellam, Mary (Butch) Biskupiak, Betsy Riggleman, Marcia (Leonard) Wendland, and Bonnie Brady; her brothers-in-law, Dan (Val) Cole and Dave (Patti) Cole; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many friends.
