Joanne DeArce, age 67, of Great Falls passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at her home. A wake will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Joanne's old residence, 187 Eaglewood Street House #2 in Rocky Boy and will continue until a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at the Rocky Boy Cemetery. Joanne was born on August 29, 1951 to Joseph and Josephine (Swan) Stanley in Rocky Boy. She was raised in Rocky Boy and attended school there. In 1973 Joanne Stanley married Alejandro DeArce Jr. and the couple had one child together before his death in 1979. In 1982 Joanne married Larry Albert and the couple moved to Great Falls in 2006.

Joanne's greatest pride was her family. She loved every minute she spent with her husband, children, brothers, sisters, and close relatives. However, her love for her grand and great grandchildren was immeasurable. She enjoyed playing bingo and the machines. Joanne was a fantastic cook; her specialty was Puerto Rican cuisine. She was a proud member of the Native American Church and was a member of The Red Pheasant Band in Saskatchewan, Canada.

She was preceded in death by Her first husband Alejandro DeArce Jr.; siblings, Clifford Stanley, Alden Stanley and Linamae Stanley; and beloved grandchildren, Dustin Stanley and Brittney Raining Bird.

Joanne is survived by her husband of 36 years, Larry Dean Albert of Great Falls; daughters, LeAnne Stanley of Rocky Boy and Becky DeArce of Great Falls; siblings, Larry Stanley, Theresa Stanley and Leota Standing Bear all of Rocky Boy; grandchildren, Justin Raining Bird of Rocky Boy, Charlie Marie Raining Bird, Alejandro DeArce III, Paula DeArce and Trent Edwards Jr. all of Great Falls; and numerous cousins and extended family and friends.
