Jeanne W.
Bailey-Martin
May 10, 1943 – July 10, 2025
Jeanne Bailey-Martin, 82, of Kremlin went safely home to meet her heavenly father, Thursday, July 10, 2025. She went peacefully at home due to natural causes. Cremation has taken place, and although her wish was to not have any memorial services, a celebration of life for Jeanne and her son, Tony, will be held from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Best Western Plus Havre Inn & Suites. Memorials in Jeanne's memory may be made to any animal shelter of your choice. She always had love for all animals and rescued a few in her lifetime. She had a heart of gold. Holland and Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with her arrangements.
Jenne was born May 10, 1943, to Howard and Dorothy (Hill) Bailey in Havre. She was raised on the family farm south of Kremlin. She was an only child and met her first husband, Terry Lee Roberts, in school. They both got married very young, and at the ripe young age of 15 she had a baby girl, Terina Marie. At 18 she had her son, Anthony "Tony" Gordon. Jeanne dedicated her life to raising her kids. Her love for hair and makeup took her to cosmetology school in Great Falls. She obtained her license and kept it up for many years even though she never pursued it as a career. Her second husband, Eddie Lee, took her and kids to Flathead Valley (Kalispell) where both her kids went to school. Jeanne sold Avon and even did hair and makeup for a funeral home for a short stint.
In 1976, Jeanne moved back to the family farm in Kremlin, built a home on the north side of the Bailey Reservoir, and resided there for the duration of her life. She met her current husband, Richard "Ricky" Martin, in 1990, and they married on April 4, 1993. Jeanne was always the caretaker of family, friends, and the people she loved. She and Rick moved down the farmhouse to take care of her mom after her dad died in 1992 until her mom's passing in 2001. Jeanne was fiercely devoted to those she loved, pets included. Her unconditional love and affection will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by both parents, Howard and Dorothy Bailey, and her son, Tony Roberts. Jeanne's survivors include her husband, Rick Martin, and her daughter, Terina Bailey.
Jeanne had a strong sense of faith. Even though she was not a church-goer, she read her Bible daily. She always said that it helped her day go better. When she was younger, she loved to decorate for holidays, craft, listen to all kinds of music, dance, go to movies, and of course, go out to dinner. Cooking was not her thing. She loved to clean and kept an immaculate house when her health was better. Jeanne always had a twinkle in her eye and a little bit of mischievousness came out around her edges from time to time. She was an extraordinary woman, and she will always be my Diamond in Denim. I will miss you, Mom!
