Jayme R. Crawford, "North Star Woman", 49, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. Wake services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026, and will continue until her funeral service, which will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026, all at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church with Pastor Marvin Russette officiating. Burial will follow in the Warrior's Burial Grounds Cemetery. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Jayme was born on June 6, 1976, in Browning to Ervin Carlson and Dona Crawford. She was raised in Browning, graduating from Browning High School in 1994. While there, she met Alex Belgarde, and the couple moved to Havre to begin their lives together. They married in 2006, and over the years they lived in Havre, Laredo, and Box Elder. Jayme and Alex had eight children, who they raised together. For most of her adult life, Jayme was a homemaker, but she also worked for the Rocky Boy Health Center as a CNA for some time.
Jayme was a outgoing, social woman who absolutely loved being a mom. She was very involved in every aspect of her children's lives, and spending time with them and grandchildren was her favorite pastime. She also liked listening to country music and watching documentaries. In her earlier years, she kept up on current events by reading People and Inquirer magazines.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dona Strongman; brother, Waylon Strongman; sister, Lark Strongman; and grandmother, Muffett Racine.
Jayme is survived by her husband, Alex Belgarde of Rocky Boy; children, Tristen (Shawna) Belgarde of Billings, Trey'Al (Shelby Jordan) Belgarde of Lame Deer, and Alexandria, Kaidence, Gilbert, Tyla, Jaylen, and Jayla Belgarde, all of Rocky Boy; three grandsons, Zaiden, Kimowan, and Tatum; father, Ervin Carlson of Browning; brothers, Tucker (Ginger) Strongman of Hobbema, Alberta, Canada, and Carl "Tiny Mite" (Crystal) Vaile of Browning; sister, Sami Jo Crawford of Great Falls; three grandparents; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
