Jaramyn Chad LaMere, Kewa names Eagle and Regalia, 42, passed away due to natural causes at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City on Sunday, March 20, 2022. Wake services will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2022, and will continue until his funeral service, which will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2022, all at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the Rocky Boy Cemetery. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Jaramyn was born on May 4, 1979, in Havre to Joe Paul Tenorio and Marsha LaMere. He was raised in Pennsylvania and later Rocky Boy. After he graduated from Rocky Boy High School, Jaramyn attended Stone Child College for a short time. He also worked as a wildlands firefighter for the Chippewa Cree Tribe.
Jaramyn met Eva Whiteman and moved to Lawrence, KS, where he attended Haskell Indian Nations University. The couple later had a daughter, Corrin LaMere. He received his Associate's Degree in environmental science. He became involved in the forestry program and was a hard-working member of the Tatanka Hot Shots, working on fires in South Dakota, Washington, Montana, and New Mexico. During the off-season, he worked as a customer service technician.
Jaramyn later met Shay Castillo, and the couple moved to Spokane, Washington, where they had their daughter, Ariana LaMere. They lived there for seven years, where he discovered his affinity as a web consultant for developing websites for businesses. They relocated to Oklahoma City, where he attended Oklahoma City Community College, receiving his Associate's Degree in computer science, and where he worked for Amazon.
Jaramyn was a kind man who loved to cook, and he was a great chef. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, and tried to watch all the games. While in Spokane, he and his family loved to hike and spend time outdoors. He loved to travel, especially to Pow Wows and Stickgames. Jaramyn was quite the jokester, and he loved to tease and make people laugh.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Raymond Parker, Sr.; brother, Ryan Sayer; uncles, Wayne and Randall Parker; aunt, Liz Whitford; cousins, Michelle Parker and Justin Whitford; paternal great-grandparents, Gabe and Elizabeth (Saddler) LaMere; father, Joe Tenorio; and paternal grandmother, Marie Coriz.
He is survived by his significant other, Shay Castillo; daughters, Corrin and Ariana LaMere; mother, Marsha (Mike) Sayer; sisters, Kylee (Kyle) Wolfe; nephews, Braydon Wily, and Logan and Kaleb Wolfe; beloved maternal grandmother, Merceline Parker; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and many friends.
