Janice E. Sargent, 64, of Great Falls, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at Benefis Healthcare in Great Falls of natural causes. A Celebration of Life will be held from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2012, at Holland & Bonine Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 21, 2012, at St. Jude Catholic Church with Father Pete Guthneck officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. The family has requested that memorials be made in Janice's name to the American Heart Association. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements. Janice was born on August 13, 1948, in Fort Belknap to Edward and Pearl (Wells) Belcourt. She graduated from Belflower High School in California before moving back to the Havre area. Janice attended Dahl's Beauty School in Great Falls for a time before marrying Kenneth "Clyde" Sargent in Havre in 1971, and their union was blessed with seven children. She was a beautiful woman, both inside and out, and lived every minute of every day for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, fishing and camping with family, taking annual trips to Glacier Park in Flathead, and just going for drives. In her later years, she enjoyed visiting her sister Donna in Las Vegas. Janice was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Pearl Belcourt; her sister Carol Belcourt; her brother Gary Eagleman; her father-in-law Kenneth Mack Sargent; and her mother-in-law Jolene Sargent. She is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years Clyde Sargent of Havre; her two sons, Shawn Sargent of Havre and Scott Sargent of Big Sandy; her five daughters, Robin (Scott) Schwartzbach of Big Sandy, Tina (Lance) Cook of Big Sandy, Wendy (Ryan) Murphy of Helena, Sandra (Randy) Solomon of Havre, and Kari (Gerald) Freeman of Great Falls; her twelve grandchildren, Tyler and Shaylee Cook, Chandra and Jordan Schwartzbach, Jaden, Mackenzee and Kali Sargent, Devyn and Dylan Solomon, Kasidisie and Teagyn Murphy, and London Sargent; her six brothers, Kenneth Belcourt of Spokane, WA, Ronald E. Belcourt of Havre, Mike (Kathy) Belcourt of Havre, Marvin (Dola) Belcourt of Spokane, WA, Harvey (Mary) Belcourt of Juneau, AK, and Larry (Georgette) Belcourt of Los Angeles, California; her three sisters, Donna (Jeff) Sharp of Las Vegas, NV, Evelyn Belcourt of Havre, and Darla (Dan) Friede of Box Elder; and numerous nieces and nephews.
