James Albert "Jimmy" Brown III, 56 passed away on May 31, 2017. Memorial Services will be held on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Harlem.
He was born December 31, 1960 in Ft. Belknap to Esther Bigby and Walter Brown. He had one son Dustin Lamere. Jimmy was educated in Butte and earned his G.E.D. from Pine Hills Boys School.
Jimmy had many hobbies and loved any type of outdoor work. He enjoyed, gardening, lawn care and carpentry (he assisted with building Columbia Grain in Harlem). He was known for his quilt making abilities. He was also a maintenance man for various businesses and families in the Harlem and Ft. Belknap area. Jimmy was an all around handyman who would help anyone without hesitation. He had a great sense of humor and made anyone laugh and smile whenever he was around. One of his favorite things to do was "picking" with his brothers and friends. He was also fond of building various wood projects for family and friends. His many creations are a part of their home decor today.
Jimmy is survived by brothers Steve (Jenny) Bigby of Harlem, John Brown of Billings, Lonnie Brown of Ft. Belknap. Sisters Maxine Clifford of Harlem, Catherine Tyon of Park City, UT, Josephine Neary of Butte, Rita Turner of Oklahoma City, OK. Adopted brothers Angel (Carolyn) Madera of Billings, Robert Bigby of Butte, William Bigby of Butte, Rhett Speedy Crantz of Harlem, and Walter (Lisa) Horn of Ft. Belknap. Special friends Bill and Mary Dawn Taylor of Harlem.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, and a brother.
