James David Brockie passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Havre Montana February 15, 2019. A Rosary service will be held at the St. Paul Mission Rec Center at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2019, with the wake following. His funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 18, also at the Mission Rec Center, with burial in the St. Paul Mission Cemetery. Jim was born to Morris "Brickie" and JoAnne Brockie at Fort Belknap Agency November 18, 1961, and was raised in Hays on his family ranch. He attended grade school at St Paul's Mission, and in 8 ^th grade attended Riverside Boarding School with his brothers. Jim attended and graduated from Hays Lodge Pole High School. In school he enjoyed rodeo, football and wrestling.

After high school, Jim worked for different companies such as Date Line Drilling, Pegasus Mining, and finally MK Weeden Construction. Working for these various companies allowed Jim the opportunity to travel and see many different states.

In 1986, Jim met the love of his life Shannon Brockie, and in 1988 they were married. Together they raised four children. Most of their marriage they spent raising their family in Hays, Montana and Riverton, Wyoming. Jim enjoyed working, and he was always proud of his work ethic. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, barbequing in the summer time, and soaking in the summer sun.

James is survived by his children Nathan (Amanda) Zahn, Charley (Shilo) Brockie, Dee (Jase) Brockie, and Jesse; his grandchildren Chiara, Kamber, Dakota, Hailey, Alexyis, Ayden, Biikousiis, Kaylynn, Kyler, and his furrier grandchildren Rowdy, Rudy and Guinness; his brothers Donnie (Michelle), John (Janice), and Monte; his sister Shannon (Pierre); and numerous other cousins and family members.

James is preceded in death by his wife Shannon Brockie; parents Morris "Brickie" and JoAnne Brockie, Sr.; brother Morris "Mike" Brockie Jr,; granddaughter  Rhyan Carrywater; and extended family, Mary Hayes, Ruby Brockie, Ella Aragon, Annie Helgeson, Clarence Brockie, Agnes Adams, Frances "Frosty" Brown, James "Skunk" Brockie, Theodore Brockie, John Edgar Brockie, and Jade Hanley.
