Jackie was born October 8, 1952 the second youngest of seven children born to John and Eulallia ( Languein) Hecker in Miles City, Montana. As a child she was raised in Worden and Pompey's Pillar. Her mother passed when she was very young. She met Doug Hillman at Lake Elmo in Billings.
Jackie married Douglas M. Hillman on September 8th, 1969 they had two children. The family moved a lot with Doug's work. They raised their children in Manhattan and Harlowton, Montana where Jacklyn worked in the local grocery store as a clerk while her children were young. She accepted a job at the Deaconess Hospital in Bozeman, Montana as the Shift manager of environmental services. She also helped Doug with his drywall business, masking and bookkeeping. She was never afraid of hard work and put her heart and soul into everything she did. The couple moved to Havre to be closer to their daughter Julie and her family.
Her greatest love was for her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Who enjoyed spoiling her family with her delicious baking, crocheting things for them or just being there to listen. She enjoyed being outside working in her yard, gardening and playing with her three yorkies. She could make any place a home, because that's where her family gathered. She was a compassionate person always putting others needs before hers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her mother-in-law Josephine Blumer, sister Maurine Chapman, brother Thomas Brady.
Jackie is survived by her husband Doug Hillman. Her son James (Sandy) Hillman of Helena and daughter Julie (Ryan) Lammers of Havre. 11 Grandchildren: 4 Grandsons and 7 Granddaughters. Her siblings: Carole Ann Michaelis, Margaret ( Larry) Christiansen, Penny J. (Paul) Van Hise, Donna J. (Don) Chase, Ronald J. ( Florence) Hecker.
Jackie's family would like to express their gratitude to all of the nurses and caregivers at the Sletten Cancer Center and Bear Paw Hospice. They all provided exceptional care and compassion for Jacklyn and her family.
