Irvin "Buzz"
Buskirk
December 5, 1936 – October 17, 2021
Irvin Duane "Buzz" Buskirk was called to Heaven October 17, 2021, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, at 84 years young. Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church with Deacon Tim Maroney officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services.
Buzz was born to John and Nancy (Barsanti) Buskirk on December 5, 1936, in Pawnee City, Nebraska. In 1954, he enlisted in the Air Force as a radarman and was stationed in St. Albans, Vermont. He was honorably discharged in 1957.
Buzz started working for the Great Northern Railroad in Havre, Montana, where he retired from Burlington Northern/Santa Fe with 40 years of service.
If you knew Buzz, he was known as Busy Buzz. He worked multiple jobs; while working for BN, he also worked at BNT and Baltrusch Construction.
He married the love of his life, from the moon and back, Clarice Ann Fincke, in 1961.
Buzz was more than just his career on the railroad. He loved motorcycling, waterskiing, jet skis, boats, swimming, bicycling, and there is not a single person in Havre to Havasu that didn't run into him on his miles and miles of walks.
In retirement, Buzz loved to travel from the East Coast to the West Coast and was most proud of his role as grandpa and great-grandpa.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Clarice, of Havre/Lake Havasu City; his children, John Tessier of Underhill Vermont, his children, Aaron and Alex; Leslie (Bert) Seely of Havre, Montana, and their children, T.J. Guy, Chad, Cody, Lance, Dustin and Dillon; Brad (Linda) of Seattle, Washington, and children, Conor and Dylan; Laura Martin of Havre, Montana, and children, Nick, Nolan, Clarissa and Jackie; Brian of Havre, Montana, and his children, Mellisa, Christopher and Rebecca; Brenda Burrington of Seattle, Washington, and her children, A.J. and Tyler; sisters, Shirlene Keifer of North Platte Nebraska, Cenith Cannon of Denver Colorado, Maryann (Bill) Blair of Joshua Tree, California, and Nellie (Glenn) Callaghan of Butte, Montana; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, four brothers and, recently, his son-in-law Randy Martin and daughter-in-law Kay Buskirk.
"Hope they have some real nice walking shoes waiting for him for whereever he goes!"
