Obituary

Howard Jay Woods, 57, passed away due to natural causes at Park Place in Great Falls on Thursday, February 15, 2018.  Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Jay's life is planned for summer of 2018.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.  Please visit Jay's online memorial page and leave a message of condolence for his family at www.hollandbonine.com .

Jay was born on December 16, 1960, to Howard O. and Dorothy (Denison) Woods in Kansas City, Missouri.  He was raised in Missouri, Washington, and Montana, where his family settled in Choteau and he attended Choteau High School.  Following his school years, Jay worked as a truck driver and mechanic.  He married Anita Delcamp, and the couple had a daughter, Cherish.  They later separated.  Jay continued working until 1994, when he was in an automobile accident, which caused him to become disabled.  He was at various nursing homes for care until 1999, when he was able to move into a group home in Great Falls.

Jay loved to draw tattoos, build model cars, fish, hunt, read, and work crossword puzzles.

He was preceded in death by his father Howard O. Woods; his brother Tommy W. Woods; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Jay is survived by his daughters, Cherish Woods and Ashley Delcamp, both of Brockton, NY; five grandchildren; his wife Anita Delcamp Woods of Jamestown, NY; his mother Dorothy Denison of Havre, MT; his sisters, Dorothy (Larry) Anderson of Havre, MT, Judy (Jeremy) MacDonald of Tillamook, OR, Jerri Woods of Wisconsin, and Melissa (Dennis) Woods-Jackson of Hamilton, MT; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
