Her memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at St. Jude Catholic Church with Father Daniel Wathen officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. The family has suggested memorials in Holly's name be made to National Fibromyalgia Research Association, P.O. Box 500, Salem, OR 97308, or to St. Jude School. Holly was born on November 23, 1959, in La Jolla, CA, to Doyle and Martha (Schnepf) Sovey. The family relocated often during Holly's youth due to her father's job. They moved to Havre in 1969, where Holly attended school, graduating from Havre High School in 1977. Holly worked in nursing homes during her school years and beyond. In 1993 she married Monte Connor, and became a stay-at-home mom, caring for her husband and children. Holly was a loving and giving woman who liked to sew, especially creweling and embroidery. She enjoyed reading, playing cards and games, and going to casinos. Holly was outspoken, occasionally sharing her opinion even when it wasn't requested, and she loved to entertain. She was a Mom to everyone, and was very protective of her children. She had a great sense of humor, and didn't hold a grudge. Her dog Skeeter was a special part of her life. Holly was preceded in death by her father Doyle Sovey. She is survived by her husband Monte Connor, daughter Meagan Connor, son Charles Connor, grandson James Chaisson, and parents, Martha and Joe Gatzemeier, all of Havre; her brothers, John (Julie) Sovey of Reno, NV and Matthew Sovey of Bozeman, MT; her stepbrothers, Mike (Mary) Sovey of Phoenix, AZ, Dean (Theresa) Gatzemeier of Houston, TX, and Russell Gatzemeier of Chelan, WA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
