Obituary

Henry Alexander Gardipee Sr., 75, died Saturday, February 4, 2012 of natural causes. His wake will be Monday, February 6, 2012 and a Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. His funeral service will be Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.at the Rocky Boy Catholic Church with Father Pete Guthneck officiating. Burial will be at the Rocky Boy Veterans Cemetery. Henry was born in Fort Belknap MT. on May 1, 1936 to Stanley and Louise (Parronteau) Gardipee. He attended school in Flandreau SD, Northern Montana College, Delgado College and New Orleans LA. Henry married his wife of 47 years, Madeline Sangrey, on August 22, 1964. Henry loved watching the Box Elder Bears play sports, playing cards, watching football, and playing the machines. Henry was employed at various places including Boeing of Great Falls; mining in Leadville CO: mining in Butte, MT; an EMT of Rocky Boy, MT; and the BIA Health Board of Rocky Boy, MT. Henry was in the US Marine Corp, serving his country from 1955 - 1959. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Louise Gardipee; his brother William; and two sons, Robert and William. He is survived by his wife, Madeline; sons, John Gardipee, Henry (Avis) Jr., Dennis (Trish) Gardipee, and Justin Gardipee; brother Stanley Gardipee; 11 grandchildren; sisters, Ramona Favel and Shirley Seymour, all of Box Elder, and sister Mary Olive Brist of Kalispell, MT.
