Obituary

Helen "Arlene" Brown, 92, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021, due to natural causes at the Northern Montana Care Center.  A visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel.  Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2021, at Fifth Avenue Christian Church with Ila McClenahan officiating.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.  Arlene's family has suggested memorial donations be made in her memory to the Northern Montana Care Center or the charity of the donor's choice.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements.  Streaming of Arlene's funeral will be on Facebook.  Once on Facebook, search facclivestreamsessions.

Arlene was born on December 27, 1928, in Havre to George and Myrtle (Quamme) Daniel.  She was raised on the family farm on Sandy Creek northwest of Laredo, attending school through the 8 th grade at Madden School and high school in Havre.  In 1944, Arlene married Richard Brown, and the couple had three children.  When they married, the couple moved to the family farm located on Laredo Road, where Arlene raised her children and was a 4-H Leader for many years.  She was also very active as an Avon lady.

Arlene was a quick-witted woman with a heart of gold who enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading, and gardening, and was a member of Fifth Avenue Christian Church and the Havre Eagles Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard in 2001; grandson, William Brown; parents George and Myrtle Daniel; siblings, Robert "Bud" Daniel, Dohreen Palin, Gloria Chamberlain, Mark Daniel, and Lee Daniel; and sisters-in-law, Ethel Couch and Helen Lawrence.

Arlene is survived by her children, David (Julie) Brown and Matthew (Jimmi Linn) Brown, all of Havre, and Pam (Lynn McCraney) Brown of Goodlettsville, TN; grandchildren, Daniele Brown, Robert (Tracie) Brown, Candice (Mike) Snyder, and Eric (Jenny) Seidensticker; six great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Hecht of Albany, OR; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
