Harvey "Blair" Friede, Jr., 34, of Rocky Boy, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2015, at Benefis Medical Center in Great Falls due to complications from Diabetes. Blair was born on June 25, 1980, in Havre to Harvey and Barbara (Koop) Friede, Sr. He was raised in Rocky Boy, attending Box Elder schools, and graduated from Box Elder High School in 1998. For several years after graduation, Blair worked for Chippewa Cree Road Construction. He then began attending Stone Child College, working construction during the summer and at Grandma's Market as a butcher the rest of the year. Most recently, he worked as a cook and in maintenance at Box Elder Schools. Blair enjoyed working on cars, hunting, and playing various card, video and board games. One of his favorite pastimes was spending time with his nieces and nephews. He absolutely loved fishing, and several years ago, Blair caught the $5,000 fish at the Fishing Derby. Blair was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Thomas & Josephine Koop; his paternal grandmother Marie Friede; his nephews, Cruz Michael Friede, Jesse James Gardipee, and Brantley James Gardipee; his uncles Thomas Koop, Jr. and Dan Friede, Sr.; and his aunt Peggy Friede. He is survived by his parents Harvey & Barbara Friede, Sr. of Rocky Boy; his sisters Lisa Friede and Priscilla Friede, both of Rocky Boy; his brothers Thomas Koop III, and Dan (CeCe) Friede, Jr., all of Rocky Boy; his paternal grandfather Bert Friede of Rocky Boy; and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
