Harris "Keith" Rock, "Hawk Chief" (Chedu Hunga), 67, passed away due to natural causes on Friday, March 7, 2025. Wake services will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2025, and will continue until his funeral service, which will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, all at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Warriors Burial Grounds. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Keith was born on December 23, 1957, in Fort Belknap to Harris and Rosemary (LaFromboise) Rock. He was raised in Fort Belknap, graduating from Harlem High School in 1976. Keith attended the University of Montana, graduating with his certificate in carpentry. He entered the US Army in 1982, and received his honorable discharge in 1986. While in the Army, Keith married Dianna Arnoux, and they had four children before divorcing. He worked as a carpenter for many years at home in Fort Belknap, then Bozeman, and Great Falls. He had a relationship with Phyllis Wells which resulted in the birth of a daughter, and the couple later separated.
Keith was an outgoing man who loved the outdoors. He liked camping, fishing, and taking trips, especially with his family, and was an excellent artist. In later years, reading was Keith's favorite pastime.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harris Rock and Rosemary LaFromboise, and his brother Neil Rock.
Keith is survived by his children, Keith Rock of Ithaca, NY, Nina Rock of Browning, Jenna Rock of Cut Bank, Chris "Gus" (Jasmine) Rock of San Diego, CA, and Breeona Rock of Great Falls; eight grandchildren with one on the way; siblings, Julia (Edwin) Doney of Fort Belknap, Donna "Susie" (Charles) Hay of Rocky Boy, Gaile (Christopher) Torres of Box Elder, Kellie and Leslie Rock of Rocky Boy, Deanna Hardinger of Great Falls, Avis Rock of Rocky Boy, and Roger Rock of Great Falls; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and friends.
