Harold "Bommie" Watson, Jr., Yellowbird, 62, passed away due to natural causes at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings on September 1, 2023. Wake services will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 3, 2023, and will continue until his funeral service, which will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 4, 2023, all at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the Meyers Family Cemetery. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Bommie was born on May 2, 1961, in Havre to Harold and Donna Sue (Meyers) Watson, Sr. He was raised in Rocky Boy, attending Box Elder schools. After high school, Bommie became a wildland firefighter/fire management and continued to work in that profession until just recently. He began a relationship with Mary Morsette, and the couple raised their five children together and remained together until his death.
Bommie enjoyed arts and crafts, drawing, working with horses, and pretty much any outdoor activity, especially in the mountains. Bommie loved his family, and spent as much time with them as he could. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends. Teasing and laughing with those he was close to was something he enjoyed as well.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Watson, Sr. and Donna Sue Meyers; daughter, Sasha Sutherland; and numerous extended relatives
Bommie is survived by his wife, Mary Watson of Rocky Boy; children, Justin and Shontell Watson, both of Washington, Harold James Watson of Missoula, Skylar Watson of Havre, and Nikki Watson of Rocky Boy; sixteen grandchildren; siblings, Ty (Ivy) Watson of Rocky Boy, DJ Watson of Washington, Mark LaForge of Billings, Aaron LaMere of Havre, Nathel "Fawn" LaMere of Washington; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
