Harlan "Jeff" Eagleman, "Day That Watches Over Him", 67, passed away due to natural causes at his residence on Monday, February 6, 2023.  Wake services will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, and will continue until his funeral service which will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, all at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.  Burial will follow in the Eagleman Family Cemetery.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Jeff was born on November 15, 1955, in Rocky Boy to Edward and Rose (Walking Child) Eagleman.  He was raised in Rocky Boy, graduating from Rocky Boy High School in 1974.  He attended Northern Montana College, majoring in automotive repair.   Jeff also attended the smoke jumper school in Missoula.  He went on to work various jobs over the years, including farming outside of Great Falls and working at Missouri River Manor and Gull Boats in Great Falls, but most of his working life was spent with Tribal Water Resource and Tribal Transportation.

Jeff was an easy-going, quiet man who enjoyed the outdoors, getting and cutting wood, and watching westerns and action movies.  He was giving and kind, but had a subtle sense of humor that would surprise you.  Jeff's family was his greatest joy, and he spent as much time with them as he could.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Laurna Chief Goes Out; the mother of his children, Marilyn Chief Goes Out; parents, Edward and Rose Eagleman; and siblings, Celina, Allan, Gerald, and Galen Eagleman.

Jeff is survived by his children, Kyle (Isabell) Eagleman of Polson, Karalee (Daniel Davis) and Sasha Chief Goes Out, both of Missoula, and Lindsey Priest of WA; grandchildren, Heath Eagleman and numerous others; siblings, Francis Eagleman, Gilda Stanley, and Tex Eagleman, all of Rocky Boy; significant other, Barbara Anderson of Havre; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and friends.
