Greg grew up in Conrad attending school and graduated from Conrad High School in 1969. Greg was very active and loved the outdoors, maintaining the local golf course in Conrad. He attended college at Eastern in Billings and graduated with the Sigma Nu fraternity from University of Montana with a Bachelor's in Sociology. Greg moved to Havre in 1980 and began working for Northern Montana Hospital in the Building and Grounds Department. Through mutual friends Greg met and later married Arleen Morse (Rice). They had one daughter Jesine and the couple later divorced. He later married Maxine Nelson on August 26, 1995 in Havre. Greg retired from Northern Montana Hospital in 2004 after working there for 24 years. He and Maxine purchased the Hi-Line Motel in Havre, which they have owned and operated for the last ten years. Greg was a courageous and hard-working man. He was very meticulous about the way things were kept and could fix just about anything. He was very active playing golf, softball, and bowling. This is where he met many of his life-long friends that were so beloved and important to him. Together he and Maxine loved to travel, play golf and dine with friends. Those who knew Greg can understand that he was interested in quality of life. He fought incredibly hard these last few months and after numerous and exhausting procedures he made the most brave decision of them all, to follow the light that will lead him to eternal peace. He supported the Havre community, attending various fundraisers and benefits. He was a tremendously fun-loving and generous man. Once you met him you were a friend for life. He was preceded in death by his father Elmer Munson.
