Freida Lorraine Ameline, 84, passed away due to natural causes at Northern Montana Hospital on Wednesday, November 20, 2024.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 22, 2024, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Joseph Tran officiating.  Burial will follow in the Box Elder Cemetery.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Freida was born on June 28, 1940, in Rocky Boy to Pete and Angeline (Denny) Sutherland.  She was raised in Rocky Boy, attending Sangrey School early on and then schools in Box Elder.  In 1961, Freida married Alfred Ameline, and the couple raised their 9 children in Box Elder, where she remained home to care for their children and their home.

Freida was a feisty and outspoken, but loving woman who enjoyed watching game shows, especially The Price is Right, on television.  She also liked working Word Search books and playing Keno and Slots on her Ipad.  Freida's main focus was her family, and she adored her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Se was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Ameline; parents, Pete and Angeline Sutherland; sisters, Agnes Swan, June Cox, Sharon Zampich, Fern Doney, and Pearl Shendo; and brothers, Peter "Chano" Sutherland and Clifford Sutherland.

Freida is survived by her daughters, Claudette (Curtis) Oats of Rocky Boy, Cindy Ameline of Box Elder, Torrie (Dathan Walls) Ameline of Rocky Boy, Monica Ameline of Box Elder, and Mona (Randy Belcourt) Ameline of Great Falls; sons, Kevin Ameline of Box Elder, Aldred Ameline of Butte, and Clarence "CJ" and Shawn Ameline, both of Box Elder; 35 grandchildren; 88 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Marie Wilson of Great Falls; brother, Daniel "Biddo" Sutherland of Rocky Boy; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and friends.
