Frank “David” O’Neil, 70, of Havre, Montana, passed away peacefully at home on August 3, 2026, per his wishes.

Born on September 13, 1955, in Havre, he was the son of Fred and Mae O’Neil of Rudyard. In 1974, David graduated from Inverness High School and later enlisted into the United States Army. David spent many years working as an agricultural mechanic and was well regarded for his strong work ethic and expertise.

He is survived by his children, Justin O’Neil (Tracy) of Glendive and Heather (Jesse) Dibblee of Havre; his grandchildren, Colton Williams (Kinzie), Sidney, Haylie, Brylie, and Orin O’Neil, Makenzie Dibblee (Dylan), and Brenden Dibblee; his great‑grandson, Christopher Michael Kimberling; his siblings, Leo (Penny) O’Neil of Colorado, Ross (Rose) O’Neil of Rudyard, Tammie Gatzemeier (Ted) of Hingham, and Judy (Shawn) Campeau of Billings; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Angela (Gallagher) O’Neil; his children, Michael and Misty O’Neil; his parents; and his brother, Warren O’Neil.

In accordance with David’s wishes, no funeral service will be held.
