Floyd Ross Cline, 88, died Sunday January 2, 2011 at the Northern Montana Care Center of natural causes. His funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2011 at the Christ Lutheran Church with Pastor Val Metropoulos officiating. Burial will follow at the Big Sandy Cemetery. A fellowship luncheon will be held at the church immediately after the services at the graveside. Memorial contributions in Floyd's honor may be made to the NMCC West Wing C/o NMHCF P.O. Box 1231 Havre, Montana 59501 or to the Havre Senior Center 2 West 2nd Street Havre, Montana 59501. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home. Floyd was born April 26, 1922 in Booker, Texas to Abraham J. and Bettie (Ross) Cline. The family moved East of Big Sandy and operated the Cline Coal Mine when Floyd was just an infant. In 1929 the family moved West of Big Sandy to the Kenilworth area where Floyd grew up. On March 12, 1947 Floyd married Edna Maxwell in Great Falls, Montana. From this marriage two children were born a daughter Teresa Lynn and a son Dennis Ross. The couple retired from farming in 1986 and moved to Havre. Floyd enjoyed farming, bowling and playing cards. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Edna in 1992 and his daughter Teresa in 1995. His three brothers Ray Cline in 1981, Marvin Cline in 1991 and Lester Cline in 2001. Floyd is survived by his son Dennis and wife Dana of Havre, Montana. Three grandchildren: Joe Kolski of Williston, North Dakota; Dara (Eric) Wilki of Malta, Montana and Darren (Fiancée Nikki) of Sidney, Montana and five great grandchildren.
