Evelyne V. Paugh, 98, passed away due to natural causes at Northern Montana Care Center on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. Cremation has taken place, and Memorial graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Highland Cemetery. Evelyne was born on April 28, 1920, in Havre to James S. and Mary (Kjos) Christensen. She was raised on the family farm North of Havre, attending Lohman school until the 8 ^th grade. She then attended Havre High School, graduating in 1939. Her travels led her to Bremerton, Washington, where she worked as a waitress on the Naval Base. While working she met John Paugh. She returned home in 1941 to help care for her mother and help her father with the farm. John followed her. They were married in 1943 and had two children and later divorced. In 1955, while living in Big Sandy, Evelyne started selling Tupperware; she soon earned management status and had many dealers under her. Evelyne sold Tupperware for 45 years, retiring in 2000. Her family believes everyone in North Central Montana must have at least one piece of Tupperware that was purchased from Evelyne. After retirement she returned to the family farm where she had been raised.

Evelyne was a Lifetime Member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter #42 in Big Sandy, MT. Evelyne enjoyed reading and caring for her house plants, she was especially gifted to raising African Violets. She also loved her house kitties, dogs, and horses.

She was preceded in death by her son, Richard J. Paugh; parents, James S. and Mary (Kjos) Christensen; and brothers, James W. and Albert S. Christensen.

Evelyne is survived by her daughter Vickie (Richard) O'Leary of Havre; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
