Evelyn "Toni" Mae Gardipee LaMere, 72, passed away due to natural causes at Billings Clinic on Thursday, October 29, 2020.  Wake services will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2020, and will continue until her funeral service, which will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 2, 2020, all at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.  Please visit Toni's online memorial page and leave a message of condolence for her family at www.hollandbonine.com.

Toni was born April 25, 1948, in Fort Belknap, MT.  She was raised by George "Malone" and Grace (Crosswhite) Gardipee along with four younger brothers and two younger sisters. She grew up in Helena and  Rocky Boy, Montana, where she spent time with her grandmothers and aunts. In 1964, Toni married Kenneth David LaMere, Sr. with whom she had four children and legally adopted two grandchildren. She absolutely loved every single one of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She helped her youngest daughter Shannon raise her three children and she also helped raise her great-grandson Antonio, all of whom called her Mom too.  Toni had the biggest, kindest heart.  She would help anyone that needed help, but she also knew where to draw the line.  She would tell you like was.  Toni was very cool for a woman of her age, as she could relate to anybody. She was non-judgemental and took people as they came.  That's what made her so special.

Toni loved to reminisce about the good old days and absolutely love listening to music, all kinds of music from Motown to Country to rock and roll to Tupac. She loved spending time with her family, especially her kids and her grandchildren.  She could sit around for hours talking and laughing with them.  She loved reading her magazines and going for cruises, driving around listening to music.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth LaMere, Sr.; parents, Malone and Grace Gardipee; granddaughter, Shauntey; her sisters, Cecilia "Upsop" Sunchild, and Bernadette "Debbie", and Lorraine "Punkin"; and brothers Everett, Leon and Louis.

Toni is survived by her children, Kenneth (Renee), Shawn (Tamara), Norma, Shannon (Steven), Geneva, and Tyler; all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brother, Michael "Duke" Gardipee. She will be very, very missed.  We love you, Mom.
