Eunice was born on May 12, 1924, in Heron Lake, MN, to Alvah and Mary (Hager) Jones. When she was a toddler, the family moved to Hingham, MT, where she was raised, graduating from Hingham High School in 1942. She attended Northern Montana College for a year, and then moved to Spokane, WA, to work until the war ended, when she returned home. In 1947, Eunice married Frank Philip DeRosa in Hingham, and the couple made their home in Havre for the next 58 years with their children Larry, Margie and Barbara. While in Havre, Eunice worked as a bookkeeper for Gamble Robinson Co and Honadale Accounting. She and Frank opened Northern Electronics in 1962, where she worked as the office manager until 1983. The 3 rd generation family-owned business currently operates as Northern Home Essentials and was the spot of their first date when it was the Lyric Theatre.
Eunice was very active and enjoyed scrapbooking, sewing, crafting, meeting with her TOPS, Birthday Club and Coffee Hour friends, decorating for the holidays, volunteering at Havre Beneath the Streets, shopping, phone conversations, sending handwritten notes and dancing with the Line Dancers. She and Frank shared travel adventures throughout North and South America, Europe, Russia, Hawaii and the Caribbean. She was supportive and involved with Frank's multitude of organizations and projects.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank in 2005; parents Alvah and Mary Jones; and brother Roderick Jones.
Eunice is survived by her three children, Larry (Patty) DeRosa, Margie (Leonard) Deppmeier, and Barbara DeRosa, all of Havre; five grandchildren, Darci (Chris) Hertz, Kati (Steve) Purkett, Jenny (Jeff) Taylor, Debbie (Kirk) Paulsen, and Brian DeRosa; and eight great-grandchildren Kendra Hertz, Keatin Hertz, Jack Taylor, Sophia Purkett, Carina Purkett, Emma Taylor, Kolton Paulsen and Brayden Paulsen; brother-in-law Sam (Eleanor) DeRosa and numerous nieces and nephews.
