Obituary

Erin Nikole Buffalo, "Standing in the Sun" "Kah-Ni-Po-Wit Ki-S-Kahw-Pi-Si-Mo-k" 27, born in Havre, MT to Jennifer Lynn Parker and Virgil Louis Buffalo on January 30th, 1999. She passed away in her home Saturday, February 21, 2026. Wake services will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 3pm at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rocky Boy, MT and funeral services will be held, Wednesday, February 25th, 2026, at 9am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rocky Boy.

Erin was a huge ball of energy and everyone she was around enjoyed having her company. She was very loved especially by her nieces and nephews, the best auntie ever. Erin always said that she thought of her nieces and nephews as her own and treated them so. Her niece, Brady Standing Rock (Gewls), had her wrapped around her finger and she always talked about her "Bestie." Erin was so caring and always willing to help when she could. She never had the intention to marry or be in a relationship because she always said she didn't want to be miserable like her sisters. And her nephews always asked why she didn't have a boyfriend.

Erin really enjoyed fixing things and "tried" to be a jack of all trades. Her favorite past time was gambling, babysitting, and making the most of her days. Her younger years, she enjoyed hanging out with her friends, playing basketball, and doing what she wanted, when she wanted.

Erin graduated from Rocky Boy High School in 2017. After high school is when she started her life-long career as a stay-at-home daughter.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Merceline Lamere-Parker and Raymond Parker, Sr and paternal grandfather Virgil Ronald Buffalo. Her father, Virgil Louis Buffalo and her uncles Wayne Parker, Randall Parker, Jayde Parker, and Dani Lee Buffalo, Sr. Her aunties, Elizabeth Parker-Whitford and Brenda Lee Parker-Hollis. Her niece Marley Jo-Lee Standing Rock. Also, her favorite player, Kobe Bryant.

She is survived by her paternal grandma Iris Jean Denny-Buffalo and mother Jennifer Lynn Parker. Her uncles, Ted Parker, Raymond "Jazz" Parker, Raymond Jake Parker, Jim Swan and her aunts Marsha Lamere-Sayer, Mary Jane Parker, and Tracey Parker. Her sisters Brandi Lynn Buffalo (Loren Standing Rock), Sharetha Rae Buffalo (Joseph Camacho-Otero), Laura Leah Buffalo, Samantha Sharae Parker (Joshua Nepoose), her brothers Arthur Ryan Windy Boy, Jr and Aiden Rain Taylor, all her nephews, Gewls, numerous family members and friends.
