Elizabeth was born on October 19, 1980, in Fort Defiance, AZ, to Ervin and Alice (Francis) Anderson. She was raised in Rocky Boy and St. Michaels, AZ, attending Rocky Boy schools. Following high school, Elizabeth attended Stone Child College for about 2 years, majoring in science. She moved to Arizona, and soon after having her first child, began working as a front desk clerk in a hotel, where she remained for a couple of years. She returned to Rocky Boy, and a couple of years later, she married Frank Valencia. The couple moved to California, and then on to Arizona before returning to Rocky Boy when Elizabeth's father passed away in 2012. There, the couple separated. Elizabeth soon moved to Hawaii to help her cousin care for her children while she was stationed there in the military.

Elizabeth was a quiet, but social woman who enjoyed writing, reading, taking and sharing photos, traveling, and keeping in touch with her family. She took great care in her appearance, and was a good mom to her two boys.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ervin Anderson; brother Allyon Shirley; and several aunts and uncles.

Elizabeth is survived by her two boys, Alejandro Standing Rock of St. Michaels, AZ, and Arius Oyoung of Honolulu, HI; mother, Alice Anderson of St. Michaels, AZ; siblings Elaina Francis-Kee of St. Michaels, AZ, and Adrian Shirley of Portsmouth, VA; godmother Josephine Bill of St. Michaels, AZ; and numerous aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and friends.
