Edna Mae Roe, 81, passed away on November 14, 2013 at the Care and Comfort Home of natural causes. Her memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Schultz officiating. Memorials may be made in Edna's honor to the Care and Comfort Home, Havre Senior Center, Havre Youth Hockey or the charity of the donor's choice. Edna was born January 10, 1932 to Earl and Grace (Shern) Zimmerman in Havelock, ND. She was raised in New Leipzig and graduated from New Leipzig High School. She married Darwyn Roe in New Leipzig in 1954. The couple had 4 children and in 1962, the family moved to Havre, MT. Throughout her life she worked at various jobs and after the death of her husband she was a stay at home mom. Edna liked gardening, playing cards, board games, traveling and going to lunch with the girls on Fridays. She loved watching her kids and later her grandkids in school and sporting events. Edna was a volunteer at the hospital in the foot clinic and at the Senior Center answering the telephone. She was an avid member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was special in many ways and will be missed by everyone. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Darwyn; her brothers Edwin and Glen Zimmerman; and her brother-in-law August Eslinger. Edna is survived by her daughters, Diane (Tim) Shidu of Auburn, WA and Debbie (Daryl) Schultz of Havre, MT; her sons Dana (Cindy) Roe and Derek Roe of Havre, MT; her sister Darlene (Dennis) Grimm of Hazen, ND; her brother Donald (Marlyn) Zimmerman of Garrison, ND; her sister-in-law Mabel Zimmerman of Omaha, NB; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren (with one on the way); numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
