Dwight Sunchild, 36, passed away at his residence on Sunday, August 11, 2024, due to natural causes.  Wake services will begin at 3:00 p.m. and a Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m., all on Monday, August 12, 2024.  Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.  All services will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rocky Boy.  Burial will follow the funeral service at Eagle Lookout Cemetery.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Dwight was born to Darrell Sunchild, Sr., and Winona LaMere on August 17, 1987, in Havre.  Dwight attended school in Rocky Boy and graduated from Rocky Boy High School in 2005. He attended Stone Child College in 2008.  He received his Construction Technology certificate. He returned  to Stone Child College in 2013 and received his pre-engineering certificate.

Dwight was very friendly and outgoing. He greeted everyone with a smile. He enjoyed going on adventures with his friends, especially Donny and Isaiah.

He worked at the Northern Winz casino for many years. Dwight had three children and loved them dearly.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, Dolan and Dustin Sunchild; paternal grandparents, Rose Bernard and Ned Sunchild; and maternal grandparents, Mary Jane and Theodore Lamere, and Mary Taylor.

Dwight is survived by his parents, Darrell Sunchild, Sr., and Winona Lamere; brothers, Darrell Jr. (Jolin) and Dalton Sunchild; sister, Darcey Sunchild; children, Kylene and Destyn Sunchild and Arissa Ameline; partner, Larae Ameline; 6 nephews; and 7 nieces. He will also be missed by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
