DOROTHY M. TAUTGES SCHUBERT, died of congestive heart failure on Saturday, July 29, 2017, on her 83 rd birthday. A Celebration of Dorothy's Life will be held Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Havre Eagles Hall, 202 First Street. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Northern MT Health Care Foundation – Dialysis, P.O. Box 1231 Havre, MT 59501 or to the charity of the donor's choice. Holland and Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements. Dorothy was born and raised on her parent's farm south of Havre. She graduated from Havre High School in 1952.
Dorothy married Gerald "Jack" Schubert on August 2 nd , 1952, and they lived most of their 65 years in Havre. She enjoyed crocheting crafts and afghans and spent many weekends selling them at local bazaars.
Dorothy enjoyed fishing and camping with her family and friends. After retirement, Dorothy and Jack traveled to Yuma over the winter months.
Her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren were very special to her. Hugs were plentiful when Dorothy was there. She was a very loving and caring Wife, Mom, Grandma, Grandma Dot, Aunt, Cousin, Sister-in-law, and friend. Many of us have received many cards from Dorothy over the years.
Dorothy was an active Eagle Auxiliary member for many years, and a member of the Saint Jude's Catholic Church.
Dorothy is survived by her Husband Gerald "Jack" Schubert; daughter, Jackie (Tim) Heidlebaugh; son, Jerry (Cindy) Schubert; brother, Jim (Shirley) Tautges; grandchildren, J.T. (Micah) Schubert and Karly (Tim) Schell; step-grandchildren, Tina (Eric) Thornton and Adam Heidlebaugh; seven great-grandchildren and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Gladys Tautges.
