Dorothy Y. Henderson, 70, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023, at her residence in Littleton, CO.   Cremation has taken place, and a private family graveside service will be held later this year.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Dorothy was born on May 4, 1953, in  Havre to Virgil and Zelma (Long) Henderson.  She was raised in Havre, graduating from Havre High School in 1972.  She went on to further her education at Northern Montana College in Havre and then Caroll College in Helena.  While in high school, Dorothy worked at Dairy Queen, and for the majority of her adult life, she worked as a clerk for telecommunications companies.  She lived in Helena for 20 years before moving to Littleton in 1995.

Dorothy was a very community-minded woman, who volunteered for the United Way, Denver Rescue Mission, Coats for Colorado, and the Denver Food Bank.  She coordinated the dispatch unit which delivered food, clothing, school supplies, and gifts to needy families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Zelma Henderson, and brothers, Cary L. and Roy A. Henderson.

Dorothy is survived by her siblings, Harmon "Lee" Henderson and Mitch (Barb) Henderson, all of Havre, James (RoAnn) Henderson of Lincoln, NE, and Ella (Doug) Rhodes of Champion, Alberta, Canada; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
