Obituary

Dorothy Crane, 78, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at the Northern Montana Care Center of natural causes. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Dorothy was born in Rocky Boy on June 26, 1936, to Pat and Florence (Denny) Stump. She was raised in Rocky Boy, attending school there. Following her school years, she remained at home caring for her grandparents, until she married Bert Coffee in 1954. The couple remained in Rocky Boy, raising their five children there. They divorced in 1959, and Dorothy continued her caregiving to support her growing family. In the mid-1980s, she married Enoch Crane in Hobbema, Alberta, Canada. They later divorced, and in 1989, Dorothy returned to her beloved Rocky Boy. Upon her return, she remained home caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dorothy enjoyed traveling to watch her grandchildren play sports, and to participate in pow wows, round dances, rodeos, and traditional family gatherings. She simply loved to spend time with her family. Dorothy was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Maggie (Little Bear) Denny and John Stump; her parents Pat and Florence Stump; her daughter Elvina Stump; her granddaughter Alicia Coffee; her great-grandchildren, Adrian Boysis, Sandy Rose Boysis, and Jerod Coffee; her sisters Fern and Flovera Standing Rock, and Joyce Stump; her brothers, Daniel, William "Bill", George, Lawrence, Martin, Darrel, Leon and Leslie Stump; and numerous extended family.
