Don was born January 28, 1954, in Harlowton, Montana to the Reverend Paul and Darlene Seagraves. Don's father was a minister, so the family traveled to various places, schools and churches.
In 1972, at the age of 17, Don enlisted in the Army. He was an Artillery Gunner. He had partial hearing loss because of this. Don was honorably discharged in 1974.

On July 30, 2016, Don married the love of his life Kristin (Kris) Allen at the first lake pavilion in Beaver Creek Park. Don and Kris didn't have enough time here on Earth together but every moment they had together was amazing!
Don loved hunting, fishing, camping, canning, cooking, tinkering in his man cave and 2 of his grandsons. They called him Pappy! He actually has a mug that says, "my favorite people call me Pappy!"
Don put up a courageous fight for the last year and 9 months of his life. He suffered through multiple seizures and setbacks during this time.
Don is survived by his wife Kris; his brothers, David (Deb) of Partridge, Kansas and Paul Dana of Wyoming; cousins, Cheryl (Mugs) Morris of Havre and Beverly (Reggie) Wilcott of Great Falls; special friends, Mary Beth Elletson and Cory Harding of Havre.
