Denis L. Mack was born on May 30, 1959 to Denton and Iva (Boyer) Mack in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. He attended high school in Union City, Pennsylvania and upon graduation he decided to become an auto mechanic. He applied and was accepted by Job Corps and moved to Clearfield, Utah to become an auto technician in 1977. In 1983, he discovered Montana and moved to explore the mountains and fish the pristine waters he found while hiking in his new surroundings. During one of his trips, he came to Havre, Montana and decided to make it his home. The Bear Paw Mountains called to his adventurous spirit and the waters surrounding Havre gave him many opportunities to satisfy his passion for fishing. He enjoyed socializing with his friends and playing video games.
One of the many opportunities he found to his liking was working at Walmart. Denis enjoyed the atmosphere, helping the many customers and his fellow employees. He was always looking ahead and helping everyone do a better job. He did this with a genuine smile and a kindness that everyone felt as he touched their lives. During the Christmas season, Denis would don a Santa suit and would visit with children, not only did the children respond well but Denis would light up like a Christmas tree with the joy he spread. He will always be loved and admired by his Walmart family, with his kindness, his wonderful sense of humor and the wisdom and knowledge he possessed. Denis will be missed by all that knew or met him.
Denis was preceded in death by his father, Denton L. Mack.
He is survived by his sisters, Janet (Steve) Simonowicz and Roberta (Michael) Heluska both of New York; brother, Edward Mack of Indiana; mother, Iva M. Mack of Indiana; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews; and close friends.
