Dawn Joy Stump, "Thunderbird Woman" 56, passed away of natural causes March 26, 2022, in Great Falls, Montana. Traditional Services will be held at her home in Parker School beginning 5 p.m. Sunday, and then she will be moved to Our Savior's Lutheran Church Sunday Evening where traditional services will continue, through Monday with the funeral beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Russell Standing Rock officiating. Dawn was born October 4,1964 in Havre, Montana to Videl and Ruby (Writing Bird) Stump. She was raised and educated in Rocky Boy graduating from Rocky Boy High School. She met Clarence "Kevin" Soosay, they married in Canada and had three children: Cody, Clayton, and Clint. The couple later separated, and Dawn returned home to Montana. She met Donovan Demontiney and together they had to children Blayne and Randee.
She enjoyed raising pets especially her dog "Lucky". She enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and was an avid book reader. She liked to cook and go to rummage sales. She enjoyed arts and crafts and joking around with her siblings and children. She enjoyed a good board game or a game of cards, and she always had a sweet tooth! She even had hidden stashes of her favorite candies and gums around her house, and her favorite drink was Coke a Cola.
She was preceded in death by her parents Vidal and Ruby Stump. Her sister Cheryl Stump. Her brothers Tyson Stump, Calvin Stump and Carlos Nomee. One niece Jessica Stump. Her Grandparents Charles and Edith Writing Bird, Patrick Stump and Florence Denny. Her Aunts and Uncles; Calvin, Margaret, Caroline, Amy, Wilberta "Babe" and Kenny Writing Bird.
Dawn is survived by her five children: Cody (Josephine) Soosay, Clayton (Jennifer) Soosay, Clint Soosay, Blayne Demontiney and Randee Demontiney; her siblings, Vidella Stump of Billings, Videl Stump, Jr.; Florencine "Dixie" Stump (Arnold Four Souls); Jackie Turtle, Marlo Stump, Marva (Darrin Sunchild) Stump, and Rueben Stump all of Rocky Boy. She had numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins whom she loved very much.
