Darnell "Pokey" Fox, 27, went missing January 13, 2012 and was found January 26, 2012. His wake service will begin on Saturday and his rosary service will be 7 p.m. Sunday January 29, 2012 at the Mission Rec Center in Hays. His traditional funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Mission Rec Center in Hays. Burial will follow at the Birtail Family Cemetery in Lodge-Pole. Darnell "Pokey" Fox was born March 23, 1984 to Monte Fox Sr. and Tina Birdtail. He was raised in Hays, Montan and attended grade school in Lodge Pole, and Junior High and High School in Hays. Pokey spent most of his younger years at his adopted parents Jr. and Theresa Horse Capture's house. He enjoyed boxing, playing basketball, feeding cows and riding horses. In 2003 he met his wife Randi Rae Cole, and together they had three beautiful boys: Kelley, Landen, and Leslie Fox, they were his pride and joy, whom which he loved with all his heart. Pokey worked as a thinner and fire-fighter, as well as a previous job at PAY Livestock Yards in Billings. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Sherwin Big Leggins; Mary (Fox) Big Leggins: James Birdtail Sr.; Uncle Floyd Birdtail, Auntie Suzette Birdtail and cousin Amanda R. Bigleggins. Pokey is survived by his sons: Kelley, Landen and Leslie Fox of Fort Belknap, Montana. His wife Randi R. Cole of Ft. Belknap. His parents Monte Fox Sr. of Three Buttes, and Tina War Bonnett of Rapid City, SD. His grandmother Marie Birdtai of Lodge-pole. Adopted parents: George Jr. and Theresa Horsecapture of Hays.
