Daniel Louis Armstrong

Daniel Louis Armstrong. 66, passed from a stroke August 18, 2026, at the Billings Clinic and Hospital.

Daniel was born to William H. (Bill) and Jean L. (Joppa) Armstrong and grew up south of Chinook, Lohman and then Havre, MT. He attended school in Havre and completed a horse shoeing course at MSU Bozeman. Daniel loved horses from an early age. He participated in 4-H as a youth. He worked building fences, as a ranch hand and as a farrier. He volunteered at local rodeos for years.

Daniel is survived by his siblings: Harold Armstrong, David (Susan) Armstrong, Janice (Rick) Williamson, and Gail (Scott) Nesslar, and brother-in-law Tim Heggen.

He was predeceased by his sister Deborah Heggen and his parents William and Jean Armstrong.

A graveside service will be held October 24, 2026, at 11am at Highland Cemetery followed by a luncheon at the Big Equipment kitchen, at 12:30pm located at 1287 US Hwy 87. Memorials may be made to the American Stroke Association or the National Parkinson’s Association.
