Dalton Elliott Sunchild, 34, passed away on July 12, 2025, in Havre, Montana. Wake services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, and will continue until his funeral service, which will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, all at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Joseph Tran officiating.  Burial will follow in the Eagle Lookout Cemetery.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Born on February 1, 1991, in the same town he called home throughout his life, Dalton brought light and energy to those around him with his generous spirit and love for the outdoors.

Dalton was known for his outgoing nature and boundless compassion. He had a big heart and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. Whether offering support to a friend or helping a stranger, Dalton's kindness left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path.

He leaves behind three beloved children—Kaile Small, Olivia Foster, and Deyton Sunchild—who were the joy of his life; his loving parents, Winona LaMere and Darrell Sunchild Sr., who mourn the loss of their son alongside his siblings; brothers, Darrell Sunchild Jr. (Jolin Sunchild) and Tyrese Sunchild; and sister, Darcey Sunchild.

Dalton is reunited in rest with his brothers Dustin, Dolan, and Dwight Sunchild; paternal grandparents, Rose Bernard and Ned Sunchild; maternal grandparents, Mary Jane and Theodore LaMere; and Mary Taylor.

Dalton's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his legacy of generosity and warmth continue to inspire all who were touched by his life.
