Curtis W. Stanley, Jr., 38, passed away due to injuries sustained in a car accident at St. Regis on Tuesday, October 26, 2021.  Wake services will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 29, 2021, and will continue until his funeral service, which will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2021, all at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Box Elder.  Burial will follow in the Box Elder Cemetery.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Curtis was born on June 6, 1983, in Spokane, WA, to Curtis Stanley and Carmen Gardipee.  He was raised in Spokane for a while, and then moved to Great Falls, where he spent his school years.  After high school, Curtis began working for his uncle, laying carpet for many years, and also helping out in other aspects of construction.    He had a relationship with Jonquill WolfTail, with whom he had three children, and the couple later separated.  He saw Robin Swan for a while, and they had two children.  He later had a relationship with Nathel "Fawn" LaMere-Mareno, and the couple had a daughter together.  In 2021, Curtis moved to Rocky Boy, where he lived until he passed away.

Curtis enjoyed outdoor activities, especially  hunting, fishing, and antler shed hunting.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Aldin Stanley, Sr., Glen Gardipee, and Mary Red Thunder.

Curtis is survived by his children, Shane, Caleb, Nathaniel, Jordon, Jacob and Kathana Stanley; parents, Curtis (Gena) Stanley, Sr., of Havre and Carmen Gardipee of Spokane, WA; siblings, Tyrone Gardipee, and Levi and Chris Stanley, all of Spokane, WA, Noah Stump of Rocky Boy, Zoey The Boy of Havre, and LoReal Stanley of Box Elder; grandmothers, Vickie Stanley of Great Falls and Barbara (Joe) Dubois of Box Elder; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
