Curtis Daryl
Iverson
March 31, 1946 – March 31, 2025
Curtis Iverson, beloved brother, uncle, and friend, passed away March 31, 2025, at the age of 80. Cremation has taken place, and the Havre Masonic Lodge #55 will be having a celebration of Curt's life at the Elks Club at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, and later this year in Oregon with his family. In lieu of flowers, Curt's family has suggested memorial donations be made to the Montana East West Shrine Game, 1108 Central Avenue, Great Falls Montana 59401, or the Iverson Memorial c/o the Algeria Shrine Temple, PO Box 1174, Helena, Montana 59624. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Curt was born on March 31, 1946, in Williston, North Dakota, to Hjalmer and Hilda Iverson. He went to school at Webster Elementary and the School for the Deaf in Devils Lake, North Dakota, and graduated from high school in Havre, Montana.
After graduation, Curt went to work for the railroad as part of the Signal Corp in Havre, working for the Railroad until his retirement.
Curt's favorite pastimes were spending time with friends, participating in Shriners events, fishing in local lakes, and traveling to visit relatives. He also enjoyed going south to Yuma, Arizona for the winter during his retirement.
Curtis was an integral part of Masonry, not only in the Havre area but also while "snowbirding" in Yuma, Arizona, and had an active life of service to others. He was the Worshipful Master of Havre Lodge #55, the High Priest of Royal Arch, an Illustrious Master of Council and Eminent Commander of the Knights Templar, part of the Havre York Rite bodies, belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star of Havre, was a prepaid life member, and a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason of the Great Falls valley. Curt traveled all over the United States with the ADA Oriental band of the Algeria Shrine Temple and won national awards for their presentations in parades. Later, he was the Commander of the Shrine Legion of Honor and enjoyed belonging to a proud Veteran's unit that presented our country's flag. His memory will live on forever as the dividends from these voluntary investments will be forever sent to the different groups that he belonged to while alive.
Curt was preceded in death by his parents, Hjalmer and Hilda Iverson; and step-grandson, Kellen Lund.
He is survived by his brother, Kenyon (Betty) Iverson, of Oregon; nephew, Eric (Corinne) Iverson; niece Kaaren (Randell) Embertson; great-nieces and nephews, Ellen, Owen, Josiah, and Heidi; stepdaughter, Jeri Zorn; step-grandsons, Ryker and Cole; and many, many friends.
